About Belly Laughs
The motivation to start Belly Laughs was forged in the fire that was 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Comedy show producer and stand-up comedian, Amir Yaz started Yaz Comedy in June 2017.
Pre-pandemic, Yaz produced and hosted a weekly stand-up comedy show named Belly Laughs. It was located in the famed Summers Sports Bar’s Showroom in Arlington, VA every Friday night. The shows featured some of the best comedians in the DMV-area. There was a monthly show featuring local and nationally touring headliners and feature acts.
If only the showroom walls could talk, they would laugh, HARD! In late March 2020, the pandemic claimed Yaz Comedy. Rising from those ashes came Belly Laughs!
Belly Laughs produces a bi-weekly stand-up show at Baba in Arlington, Virginia.
Amir performs all over the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area.
